Omamori Spa

While in Hanoi we heard of Omamori Spa, a non profitable business where they train and employ visually impared people giving them the opportunity to work.

We didn’t want to leave Hanoi without getting a massage at this place so we made a reservation and went there our last day in the city. We recommend you to make a reservation 2 or 3 days in advanced as they will be normally fully booked.

Before our massage we got offered some lovely tea and had time to talk to the woman and explain what we wanted. They offer a personal service and will get to know your needs in order to provide a better experience.

Astra decided to get a deep tissue massage. They asked him before hand if he had any pain or contractures so they can focus on that area. In my case, I preferred to get a Swedish massage as I though the deep tissue massage would be a bit too hard for me. They have a list of massages from the one you can choose.

They provide a locker, a towel so you can take a shower before hand, and comfortable clothes. The woman in charge will guide you to your massage bed and the person will come a few minutes after and start the session.

The room where you get the massage is really dark with ambience music. We both loved the experience and were so happy to have came across this place. Prices are really cheap, service is great and you are helping a good cause.

Be aware that they do not accept tips at this place and may feel offended by you offering it.
